Harry S. Truman was raised in Missouri, where he went to the University of Missouri. He also attended Kansas City School of Law. Truman married Bess Wallace and they had one daughter, Mary Margaret. He served as Roosevelt's VP, judge of Jackson County Court, and as a Senator.
Thomas Jefferson was from Virginia, where he spent his life. Jefferson studied at the College of William and Mary. He later married Martha Wayles Skelton and had 6 children, although only 2 lived to adulthood. It is rumored that Jefferson also had children with a slave. Jefferson served in the Virginia House of Burgesses and the Continental Congress, as well as the Minister to France.
James Madison hailed from Virginia. He attended Princeton, then called the College of New Jersey. Madison married widow Dolly Payne Todd and had no children together. He did adopt her only surviving son, John Payne Todd. Madison served in Congress, Constitutional Convention, and as a Secretary of State.
James K. Polk came from North Carolina. He studied at the University of North Carolina before marrying Sarah Childress. The Polks had no children. Polk served as a lawyer and participated in the Tennessee legislature.
Andrew Jackson was born in the Carolinas, but spent the majority of his life in Tennessee. Jackson studied law in Salisbury, NC. HE married Rachel Donelson Roboards and had three adopted sons. Jackson served in the military and was a Representative for Tennessee.

Ronald Reagan hailed from Illinois. He studied at Eureka College, and went on to be an actor. His first marriage was to Jane Wyman, and had two kids. His second marriage was to Nancy Davis and they also had two kids. Reagan's political views were changed to conservative because of his activeness in the film industry, where communism was a huge issue at the time.
John F. Kennedy was from Massachusetts. He graduated from Harvard University and Married Jacqueline Bouvier. They had 4 children, but only two survived infancy. Kennedy served in the Navy and was a Democratic Congressman. He was the youngest president to be elected, and the youngest to die.
James Monroe came from Virginia. He, like Thomas Jefferson, studied at the College of William and Mary. He married Elizabeth Kortright Monroe and they had three children together. Monroe served in the Continental Army and helped negotiate the Louisiana Purchase.
Woodrow Wilson was from Virginia. He attended Princeton and studied law at the University of Virginia. He married Ellen Louise Axson and had three daughters. Wilson served as the President of Princeton, and this gave him a national reputation which would later contribute to him winning the election.
Dwight D. Eisenhower came from the plains of Kansas. Being excellent at sports in high school, he received an appointment at West Point Military Academy. He married Mamie Geneva Doud and they had two sons. He served in the army and was supreme commander of NATO.
John Adams was from the Massachusetts Bay Colony. He attended Harvard University, and later married Abigail Adams. Together they had 2 daughters and 3 sons. Adams served in the First and Second Continental Congress and two terms as Vice President.
George Washington was a British General from Virginia. He did not attend any formal school or college. Washington married Martha Danridge Custis and they had no children together. He served as a General in the Revolutionary War and took part in the Second Continental Congress.
