Ronald Reagan
First of all, I would just like to say that Reagan's eyes are way prettier than Roosevelt's.
Ronald Reagan made a lot of positive differences during his eight year term. He lowered unemployment and inflation, created jobs, and played a major part in the collapse of the Soviet Union. I also affiliate myself with the Republican party.
Ronald Reagan, because of his career in acting, was very good at dealing with people. He skillfully dealt with Congress throughout his term, which helped create a good public image. He was well known by the country already, which was an excellent asset for him to have because people actually knew him before he ran for president. He was the spokesman for conservatism.
Reagan had a very successful presidency. One of the first things Reagan did was find a way to release those hostages and bring them back to safety. Nicknamed the "Great Communicator," His greatest asset in his presidency was his ability speak and connect directly with the American people. He gained American citizen's trust and love through his charming smile and eloquence. He squelched fears and helped to make America strong and proud again. Reagan reclaimed America's place as world leader, which helped to create a sense of national unity and pride as well.
To me, Reagan is just an overall excellent choice as the number one President of the United States. He is arguably the most important and influential American of the twentieth century and I believe that he truly did everything that he could have done in his two terms. Also, being of the Republican party gives me a natural inclination towards Republican presidents.
